MAP Testing – Our testing dates this year will be in the fall from Sept. 18 – Oct. 5, 2017 and in the spring from April 30 - May 18, 2018. MAP testing is a computerized assessment that replaced ITBS testing throughout the Archdiocese of Seattle. As a result students, parents and teachers will receive immediate scores and be able to track student growth more effectively.

Parent Curriculum Night – We will have Parent Curriculum Night on Wednesday, September 20th at 6:30 PM. Classroom doors will open at 6:30 PM. There will be 2 sessions for parents to choose from, Session A at 6:30 PM and Session B at 6:55 PM. After the classroom visits there will be a Mandatory Meeting in the Sonny-Kenaston Family Gym to hear presentations from Mr. Parker, Parent Club and other committees. We look forward to seeing all St. Pius X Parents on Curriculum Night. No babysitting will be available.

Please see the flyer in your Family Folder.

Blue Friday (Not Free Dress) – Every Friday during the football season, students are given the privilege of supporting their team. The purpose of the event is to create unity within the school and to show our support for the Seahawks hence the name "Blue Friday". In addition to wearing Seahawks gear, students are permitted to wear other teams from different organizations such as Sounders, Mariners, St. Pius X, etc. Students are even allowed to show their support for other teams not necessarily from WA State. To clarify, Blue Friday DOES NOT mean FREE DRESS. Students have the choice to dress in "Spirit" gear or come to school in full uniform for the day.

Electives – Each year we are blessed with parents and teachers who share their special skills and expertise in a variety of areas. This trimester Mr. Apostol has volunteered to teach Intramural Sports, Mrs. Janik will teach Book Club, Mrs. Poteet will teach a School Newspaper and Mrs. Keenan will teach Spanish. If you are interested in teaching an elective for a different trimester, please call Mary or Mr. Parker 425-778-9861
