St. Pius X School Information

Our School

Nut Free School

Due to an increasing number of allergies, we are a "NUT FREE" school. Children with these allergies can have severe reactions to nuts. Please do not send peanut butter sandwiches, any nut products or products made in a factory that processes nuts to school with your child. Soy butter is okay. Thank you for your kind consideration.

Family Folders

Family folders go home every week on Tuesday. Please remember to return your empty family folder to school on Wednesday. This enables us to communicate with you easily on a weekly basis. For you convenience, we have included a commitment hour form inside the cover of your family folder. When volunteering, it will be an easier way to remember events by the week. Thank you for all of the volunteer hours you give to the school and parish!

If your child is going to be absent from school, please phone the school office between 7:00-8:00 AM. Please remember your child must be fever free for at least 24 hours before sending them back to school. Upon returning to school, please send a note with your child indicating the nature of the absence.

Extended Student Services is available for all of our students before and after school under the direction of Mrs. Raney. There needs to be an Emergency Card on file in the school office before your child is able to use this service. ESS is available before school from 7:00-8:35 AM and 3:15-6:00 PM.

St. Pius X Extended School Services (ESS) is an extension of the school day. The service provides families with the loving care necessary for children whose parents are called away from home. ESS provides a place for children to socialize outside of school in a supervised, safe environment. We offer nutritious snacks, crafts, games, and a quiet place for reading and studies.

Hours of Operation

ESS operates on regularly scheduled school days only. Hours of operation are:

  • Before School: 7:00 AM - 8:35 AM
  • After School: 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM (Or early dismissal through 6:00 PM)

Everyone in the school is registered in the program, provided a current emergency information card is on file in the school office. The cost is $6.00 per hour for each child. It can be divided into 15 minute periods for $1.50. Families picking up their children after 6:00PM will be charged an additional $1.00 fee for every minute they are late.
For more information, please contact the school office or the ESS room at (425) 774-9444.
