5th & 6th Grade News

To the Families of St. Pius X 5th & 6th Graders                                                                                       May 14, 2012

Welcome to the end of May and beginning of June.  Together the 5th & 6th grades are responsible for the Mass readings for the First Friday in June.  They will also be responsible for leading the singing on the last day of school.  Their music for the Spring Concert is sounding "Awesome."  Please make plans to come and enjoy this festive and beautiful concert.

We still have two field trips planned for the end of the year.  On May 31, we have been invited to attend "Law Day," at the Snohomish Couonty Courthouse just behind the Lynnwood post-office.  This demonstration of courtroom procedures will be from around noon until about 1:15.  We will be eating lunch before we go.  Please look for the coming permission & instruction slips.  Next, we will have "Beach Day," an annual field trip for grades 5-8.  This begins as an educational trip scheduled around one ot the spring minus tides, but will end with some afternoon fun...pray for sunshine. (We had to cancel two years ago).

Both groups have been working hard in science. The sci-Ma-Tech projects were fabulous!!! There will be a two part electricity test for the sixth through eighth graders this week, and an environmental region test for the 5th graders late next week.

Praise God for the sunshine, I will take it into consideration with the homework whenever possible.  We will continue working hard in all areas right up to the end.  Wish us luck!

                                                                                                             God be with You,
