The physical and mental health of students is a vital part of St. Pius X Catholic School. Students go to physical education class (PE) for forty-five minutes twice a week. The goal of the PE program is to have the students actively engaged in physical activity throughout the entire class period. Physical Education class activities encourage cooperation and good sportsmanship.
The Physical Education class at St. Pius X provides a variety of fun and challenging games and activities. Students gain an appreciation of the values taught through participating in sports and fitness related activities. Students practice time management by transitioning from one activity to the next.
Students practice skills they will use for a lifetime. Catholic school values include: hard work, safety, honesty, cooperative learning, treating others respectfully, taking turns, sportsmanship, demonstrating a positive attitude, effort and participation, care of equipment and following directions and rules.
