Discover St Pius X
Mission
School Mission
St. Pius X Catholic School is a community that functions through the collaborative efforts of teaching professionals, parents and students. Our three-fold mission is to academically prepare our students for their futures, to impart the nurturing love that Jesus Christ teaches us through our Catholic faith, and to foster the students' moral accountability to themselves and their communities at large.
Curriculum
Strong Core Curriculum
The academic curriculum at St. Pius X is one that challenges students to develop basic skills and good study habits. The curriculum includes instruction in computers, music and physical education.
The students of St. Pius X have historically performed well above the Washington state average on standardized tests. At the end of the 2008-2009 school year, 76 percent of St. Pius X eighth graders were accepted to private high schools.

Basic School Info
Math Club - Math Club is offered to students in grades 5-8. It is held on Wednesdays from 7:50-8:30AM. David and Robin S. and Mrs. Walker will be presenting fun math activities for students. It is a great way to engage in mathematical ritical thinking skills while having a good time.
Middle School Math Tutoring - After school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, Mr. Petesch and Mrs. Walker tutor middle school students in math from 3:15-4:00PM. If you are interested please contact Mrs. Walker.
Nut Free School - Due to an increasing number of allergies, we are a "NUT FREE" school. Children with these allergies can have severe reactions to nuts. Please do not send peanut butter sandwiches, any nut products or products made in a factory that processes nuts to school with your child. Soy butter is okay. Thank you for your kind consideration.
PTO
The purpose of the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is to maintain good communication between school and home; provide a vehicle through which parents can contribute time, treasure and talent; offer a way to provide parent education; and serve as a structure for political action when needed. The PTO works within the framework of the parish school and will consult with the principal before decisions are made.
Supporting Diversity
St. Pius X school has families with a rich diversity of backgrounds. This allows students to learn about differences not just from books but from their classmates.
We offer regular programs that give students a chance to share cultural backgrounds to build appreciation and understanding between students of the world we live in.
Technology
Mission Statement
Technology will be used to nurture the community among our faculty, students, staff, parents, and friends. Also, it will be used to increase the diversity of people encountered by members of the St. Pius X community.
Technology will be used to prepare St. Pius X students for challenges in the future. We strive to instill the desire to use technology in ways that promote our Christian values & service to others.
