Mission and Philosophy Statement
School Mission
“Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14. St. Pius X Catholic School and Parish community are committed to the mission of nurturing faithful Catholics, responsible life-long learners and socially responsible citizens who strive for academic excellence, sound moral character and discipleship.
Following the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church, we support and affirm parents as the primary educators of their children. The collaborative efforts of parents, dedicated and qualified professionals and students compose the Christ centered, culturally diverse community of St. Pius X Catholic School.
Philosophy Statement
St. Pius X Catholic School is a Christ centered community grounded in the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. We believe, teach and live the Gospel truths. As a community of faith, we believe that each child is a unique creation of God, blessed with gifts and talents.
Our goal is to establish a strong foundation for the whole child that includes high academic standards, self-discipline, cooperation, mutual respect, service to others, and the ability to solve problems.
We value learning as a life-long process, beginning with the family. In a safe and nurturing environment, we support the family in teaching Catholic values and living the Roman Catholic faith.
We apply these truths through Catholic moral and social teachings. In recognizing that we are a part of the world-wide church, we respect the dignity of self and others and celebrate cultural differences within our school, parish, Archdiocese, and world community.
