Faith Formation

The Faith Formation program at St. Pius X is for children who do not attend Catholic school for their religious instruction as Christians. Students will receive education in the Catholic faith and preparation to receive the sacraments of First Confession, First Communion, and Confirmation. Classes are held from October through May. Parents must pre-register children for the following classes:

  • Children ages 4 & 5 attend Sunday School. They meet Sunday, 11 am to noon (during Mass) at St. Pius X School, next door to the church.
  • Students in grades 1 - 6 are in the elementary program. They meet Wednesday, 6 to 7 pm at the School.
  • Jr. High grades 7 & 8 meet Wednesday, 6 to 7 pm at the School.
  • Sr. High grades 9 - 12 meet Sunday, 6 to 7:30 pm in the Fireside Room.
  • Grades 11 & 12 begin preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation with a required parent/student meeting in November.
  • St. Pius X also offers Vacation Bible School during the summer.

RCIA for Children is a program for children ages 8 - 17 who are not baptized or who are baptized and were unable to receive the sacrament of First Comunion at age seven. After completing one year of Faith Formation they become a part of RCIA for Children. Classes meet on Tuesday nights, 6 - 7:00 pm, October through May.
