Liturgical Year

The liturgical year is an annual cycle of our celebration of God's gift of salvation through His son, Jesus Christ. The Sundays and weekdays of the year fall into periods of "ordinary" time between Advent & Christmas when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, and Lent & Easter when we remember His death and resurrection. By the sacrifice of his life on a cross, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, obtained the gift of eternal life in Heaven for us. Our entire year revolves around the mystery of Christ; "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life." John 3:16
